Allison de Vocht - Director  B.Comm (Acc) CA JP

Qualifications:

-    Chartered Accountant (CA)

-    Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA)

-    Justice of the Peace (JP)

-    Registered Tax Agent.

 Allison worked as a management accountant and chartered accountant in Sydney for ten years before moving back to the Hawkesbury to establish her own practice in 2001.

Allison's varied background is unique and highly valued for a public practitioner. Her management accounting background allows her to assist clients with budgeting and business development as well as year-end tax compliance.

Allison thrives on the constant changes to our tax laws. Staying up to date allows her clients to benefit from any loopholes that are uncovered and clients are aware of changes to legislation when they are announced.

Allison's chartered accounting background provides a strong grounding for her superannuation advice. With superannuation balances growing to in some cases millions of dollars, this is the area where Allison believes she can add the most value.

To unwind, Allison can be found at dance classes and spending time with her two daughters.

Maree Atkins (J.P.) - Accountant

Maree has been part of our team for the past eight years and holds a Certificate IV in Financial Services (Accounting).

Maree's varied duties include

-    Preparation of Income Tax Returns

-    Preparation of Business Activity Statements

-    Preparation of financial statements

-    Research on new tax measures

-    Liase with The Australian Taxation Office and Office of State Revenue on behalf of clients with complex tax issues.

-    Client Training

Maree is also a Justice of the Peace.

Maree can visit onsite and help with any MYOB or QuickBooks queries.

Maree enjoys netball, tennis and spending time with her family.

Shane McDermott (J.P.) – Senior Accountant

Shane has rejoined us in 2009 and is currently our Senior Accountant.  Shane has an understanding of CGT issues and FBT.

Shane’s qualifications are Certificate IV in Accountancy and Certificate IV in Banking and Finance.

He is responsible for the preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and super funds.

Shane is also a Justice of the Peace.

Shane enjoys coaching his daughter’s soccer team and playing golf with his son.

Shane’s latest passion is international travel and competition winning.  Shane has won various competitions.

Peita Kilby – Intermediate Accountant

Peita has worked in public practice in the Hawkesbury for the past 8 years starting as a receptionist until she completed her qualifications to become an Accountant.

Peita has completed a Certificate III in Financial Services (Accounting) and is currently completing Certificate IV.

Peita has been part of our team for 12 months and prepares business activity statements and individual to small business tax returns. Peita is passionate about high quality customer service.

Peita’s interests are horse riding, dancing, her family, friends and having a good time.

Suzanne Power - Bookkeeper

Associate Diploma in Business (Accounting)

Suzanne is a bookkeeper for A J de Vocht & Co visiting clients externally with support to their individual offices and within the A J de Vocht & Co office.  Suzanne is also in charge of our Debt Collection.

Suzanne has previously been employed in the construction industry in the Hawkesbury, then travelling to the UK in 1997 and worked within the Management Accounts Department of a large Life Assurance Company.  She has now been working in Australia with Allison since 2009.

Suzanne’s interests are music, dancing and spending time with her young children.

Siobhan Garland - Bookkeeper

Siobhan joined our team last year and has worked in bookkeeping and office management for ten years in Accounting and Medical practices.  Siobhan has recently obtained Certificate IV in Financial Services (Accounting).

Siobhan has also spent three years abroad working for Business in the Community Ireland in Events Management. 

Siobhan enjoys live music and spending time with her family and friends.

Judy Baker (J.P.) – Personal Assistant

Judy has worked many years in the finance industry.

Within A J de Vocht & Co Judy's responsibilities include supporting Allison and managing workflow, relationships with all clients and team members with a high level of customer service.

Judy identifies key issues and implements the appropriate actions to achieve results. 

Judy is also a Justice of the Peace.

Judy's most precious moments are spent with her family.
